On Sunday, December 13th, 2020, the International Women’s Ministry for Intercession (IWMI) organized a Christmas party for the Down Syndrome Foundation in Fagba, Lagos. The aim of the party was to extend a helping hand to people living with Down syndrome, while bringing smiles to their faces during the Christmas season.
The Down Syndrome Foundation is an organization that is committed to improving the lives of individuals living with Down syndrome. They provide education, training, and support to those affected by the condition.
The IWMI, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping women and children, donated several useful items to the foundation. These included washing machine, first aid box, toys, food items, and other everyday essentials that would be useful.
The Christmas party was a day full of joy, fun, and laughter. There were games, music, and dance performances by the Down Syndrome Foundation beneficiaries, which kept them entertained. The IWMI team also showed their love and support by engaging with the individuals, taking pictures, and singing songs.
Mrs. Best Eitherbhe, the coordinator of IWMI, said: “We are delighted to have organized this party for the Down Syndrome Foundation. We believe in supporting those who are marginalized in our community, especially during the festive season. The Down Syndrome Foundation is doing an amazing job, and we are glad to have partnered with them.”
The Down Syndrome Foundation’s founder, Mrs. Rose Mordi, expressed her gratitude to the IWMI team, saying: “We are grateful to the IWMI for organizing this party and for the generous donations. The items given will make a positive impact on the individuals’ lives. We appreciate their loving and kind gesture towards us.”
