INCREASING IN FAITH: FELLOWSHIP & FOLLOWERSHIP Part Two (2)

THEME SCRIPTURE:

“What we have seen and heard we also proclaim to you, so that you too may have fellowship as partners] with us. And indeed, our fellowship [which is a distinguishing mark of born-again believers] is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ”. 1John 1:3 AMP

FOLLOWERSHIP

Followership is leadership. Followership is different from fellowship, the reason being that fellowship is meeting for a common goal, while followership is submitting and following someone who is on the same course as you on that common ground.

As an intercessor, you should follow those leaders who are in line with your assignment. Give yourself to their teachings, seek their counsel, and follow their examples. Let go of pride and follow genuinely as they have been placed in that position to help you in your assignment. 1st Corinthians 11:1 CEB. “You must follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” This is an important way to increase your faith.

No Christian was created to be at a spot, when God wants to help a man he sends a man to the person, the devil does not want you to speak about a challenge because he knows answers come from God through a man, and he keeps you isolated.

The scripture makes us to understand in 2nd Chronicles 20:20 NKJV that following his prophets brings prosperity. Prosperity doesn’t come from a man, it comes from God, and he uses men to give his word. Together as sisters in IWMI we have true and unbroken fellowship, we also have a true leader that we ought to follow as we stay in the light of God’s word, God with us and we with God. The fellowship of brethren should not be forsaken.

1st John 1: 7a AMP “but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him]”

Conclusion

As you fellowship with one another faith increases, as you genuinely follow the set leader over you, your faith increases. Never find yourself isolated.
